2023 Ohio Tax Reappraisal Time

In the state of Ohio, 2023 is a tax reappraisal year and I’m sure a lot of Ohio residents who are reading have gotten a letter from the Auditor stating that their taxes have changed.

We’ve been receiving a lot of questions about what you can and cannot do about that. There is a challenge period from January 1st to March 31st, so you can’t do anything in terms of contesting the valuation until then. In the meantime, we can provide you with a comparative market analysis (CMA) that shows what some of the other homes in your neighborhood are selling for, which can give you an idea of if you have a leg to stand on in terms of challenging. This free, no-obligation comparative market analysis (CMA) is a pared down version of what an appraiser would provide to you, at a significant cost, to help contest the value.

We can provide you with a free market analysis to help give you an idea of whether or not the reappraisal is worth fighting – We’ve had a couple of past clients who have said that their taxes are going up by hundreds of thousands of dollars (!) which is a jarring and very stressful thing to happen.

We’re definitely here to help answer any questions that you have and if you would like a market analysis please reach out at any time. You can call, email, or reply below and we will get something sent out to you to get you started on the right path.

It’s me, Becky. My valuation is going up about $80,000.00. You know my place. Can we do a cma for my apartment?
